Arabic vocabulary
How to say “fear” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَزَمَّلُوهُ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ عَنْهُ الرَّوْعُ
So they wrapped him until the fear left him.
الرَّوْعُ — the fear. This noun carries the 'the' marker and is the subject the earlier 'left' verb was waiting for, its final 'u' vowel marking that doer role. So 'until the fear left him' finally lands its actor here.
