How to say “grave” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
مَحَّاهَا مَجَالُ الرِّيحِ بَعْدِهِمْ وَالْقَبْرُ
The sweep of the wind wiped it away after them, and the grave.
وَالْقَبْرُ — and the grave. The leading wa- ('and') adds a second subject to the verb, joining 'the grave' to 'the sweep of the wind' as another thing that wiped the dwellings away. The noun carries 'the'. So wind and grave together are named as the erasers of what remained.
