How to say “wipe away” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
مَحَّاهَا مَجَالُ الرِّيحِ بَعْدِهِمْ وَالْقَبْرُ
The sweep of the wind wiped it away after them, and the grave.
مَحَّاهَا — wiped it away. A past-tense verb with the object suffix -ha ('it', feminine) fused on, so it reads 'wiped it away'. The attached 'it' reaches back to the dwellings just mentioned. Its subject, what does the wiping, follows as a separate noun in the usual verb-first order.
