Arabic vocabulary
أعظم is how you say “greater” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
قال يقولون لو أنهم رأوها كانوا أشد عليها حرصًا، وأشد لها طلبًا، وأعظم فيها رغبة
He said: They say: If they had seen it, they would be more eager for it, more earnest in seeking it, and greater in their desire for it.
وَأَعْظَمَ — and greater. 'And' plus a third elative 'greater', accusative predicate — 'and greater [in desire]'. It is a diptote, its ending bare. The third comparison, with its 'in it' and specification to follow.
