Arabic vocabulary
How to say “he says” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَإِنْ دَخَلَ دَارَهُ لَمْ يُسَمِّ اللَّهُ فَأَدْخِلْ مَعَهُ
And if he entered his house and did not say the name of God, then let him enter with him.
يُسَمِّ — he says. A present-tense verb forced into the cut-off (jussive) shape by the 'did not' before it, meaning 'he did not name (God)'. The clipped ending marks the negator's effect.
