Arabic vocabulary
How to say “he washes” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَيَغْسِلُ ثَوْبَهُ، وَيَطْبُخُ، وَيَسْتَقِيُ الْمَاءَ مِنَ الْبِئْرِ،
He washes his garment, cooks, and draws water from the well,
وَيَغْسِلُ — and he washes. The wa- adds this action to the running list of what he did alone. The verb is present tense with a built-in 'he' subject, and in this passage of daily routine it reads as habitual: the things he regularly did for himself. The conjunction simply strings these parallel chores together.
