Arabic vocabulary
How to say “heedless preoccupation” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَسَهْوُكَ فِي لَهْوِكَ عَمَّا قَدْ خُبِّئَ لَكَ
And your heedless preoccupation in your diversion from what has been stored for you!
وَسَهْوُكَ — and your heedless preoccupation. The leading wa- ('and') links this to the previous line as a parallel item, and the noun carries -ka ('your', male) at its end. It names a second blameworthy thing, 'your heedlessness', joined to the earlier delight as another fault being listed.
