وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَيْلٌ آخِرٌ أَيَّامِهِ إِلَى الشَّيْخِ أَبِي الْفَرَجِ،

أَيَّامِهِ — his days. A plural noun 'days' with a 'his' tag suffixed, packing the possessor in — 'his days' — and forming a time-setting 'in his final days'. The suffix names whose days these were.
