Arabic vocabulary
How to say “his flock” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَإِذَا أَنَا بِرَاعٍ مُقْبِلٍ بِغَنَمِهِ إِلَى الصَّخْرَةِ
Then I came upon a shepherd approaching the rock with his flock.
بِغَنَمِهِ — with his flock. Preposition 'with' fused onto a noun that itself carries the pronoun '-hi' (his), so one word means 'with his flock'. The preposition marks the flock as what the shepherd came along with, and the '-hi' ties the flock to him. The preposition governs the noun into the 'of'-style ending.
