How to say “his ignorance” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أَوْ زَاهِدٌ يَتَقَلَّبُ بِرَأْيِهِ الْفَاسِدِ فِي جَهَالَتِهِ،
Or an ascetic who keeps shifting his corrupt opinion in his ignorance,
جَهَالَتِهِ — his ignorance. An abstract noun closed by '-hi' (his), with the possessor glued to its end where English keeps a separate word. Sitting in the form the preposition before it requires, the suffix points back to the ascetic, so the ignorance is his own.
