Arabic vocabulary
How to say “his steadfastness” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَثَبَاتُهُ عَلَيْهِ أَقْوَى مِنْ صَبْرِهِ عَمَّا يَضُرُّهُ
And his steadfastness in it is stronger than his patience regarding what harms him.
وَثَبَاتُهُ — and his steadfastness. Three layers in one word: wa- ('and') joining this to the prior thought, the noun 'steadfastness', and an attached -hu ('his') that owns it. The wa- here links two parallel descriptions of the same person rather than two separate sentences. As the topic of its clause, the noun is set up to be compared in what follows.
