Arabic vocabulary
How to say “homes” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَمَسَاكِنَ تَرْضَوْنَهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ
And homes that you all are pleased with it are dearer to you all than Allah and His Messenger.
وَمَسَاكِنَ — and homes. The wa- links a final list item, the plural noun for dwellings. Like the wealth and trade before it, it carries no possessive tail and instead heads a describing clause that follows, 'homes that you are pleased with', closing the long catalogue.
