Arabic vocabulary
How to say “humility” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
لَكِنَّ الْعِبَادَةَ الْمَأْمُورَةَ بِهَا تَتَضَمَّنُ مَعْنَى الذُّلِّ وَمَعْنَى الْحُبِّ
But the worship that one is commanded to perform includes a sense of humility and a sense of love.
الذُّلِّ — humility. A definite noun 'humility' completing the pair, in the genitive. Set beside 'sense', it forms 'a sense of humility' directly, and it pairs with the next item joined by 'and'.
