Arabic vocabulary
How to say “I realized” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَعَلِمْتُ أَنَّ الْعُقُوبَاتَ وَإِنْ عَظُمَتْ دُونَ إِجْرَامِهِمْ؛
And I realized that the punishments, even if severe, fall short of their wrongdoing.
فَعَلِمْتُ — so I realized. A first-person past verb with the '-tu' built in as 'I', and a 'fa-' on the front. The 'fa-' here marks a conclusion, 'and so I realised', drawing a result from everything observed before. It then governs the 'that...' clause as the content of what was realised.
