How to say “I went forward” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَتَقَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْهَا فِي أَذَاهَا،
And I went to her while she was upset.
وَتَقَدَّمْتُ — and I went forward. A wa- opening a linked clause on a past verb 'I came forward / approached' (a do-it-to-oneself pattern), with '-tu' for the 'I' subject. The wa- joins statements, and the doer is built in.
