How to say “in the household of” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَلَمَّا حَلَّ الْهَدْمُ بِوُدِّ سَارَةَ مَنْعُ الْوِلْدَيْنِ يَجُوزُ،
When destruction befell Sarah's household, preventing the two sons was permissible.
بِوُدِّي — in the household of. The relator 'bi-' = 'in / at' fused to a noun, marking where the destruction landed. The relator governs the noun into the genitive, and that noun heads an 'of' link with 'Sarah' next, locating the calamity in her household.
