Arabic vocabulary
How to say “indeed I” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَإِنَّيَ إِنْ رَأَيْتُ شَيْئًا أَخَافُ عَلَيْكَ قُمْتُ كَأَنَّيَ أُرِيقُ الْمَاءَ،
Whenever I saw anything that made me fear for you, I would stand up as if I were pouring water,
فَإِنَّيَ — indeed I. Stacks fa- 'so/and' onto a strong emphasis particle with the attached 'I', framing the speaker's own account as firmly asserted. The emphasis lends weight and the suffix is its subject.
