How to say “inside” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
ظاهرك متجمل بلباس التَّقْوَى وباطنك باطية
Your outward appearance is beautified with the garment of piety, while your inward self is ruined.
وَبَاطِنُكَ — and your inward self. 'And' plus 'inward / hidden part' with '-ka' (your) attached, a second topic, nominative — your inside, set against your outside. The contrast is the whole point.
From: Guarding the Heart →وَمَا يُشَاهِدُهُ مِنْ أَحْوَالِهِ ظَاهِرًا وَبَاطِنًا فِي ذَلِكَ أَبْيَنُ دَلَالَةٍ عَلَى وَحْدَانِيَّةِ الرَّبِّ وَثُبُوتِ صِفَاتِهِ
And what they witness in their states, both outward and inward, is the clearest indication of the oneness of the Lord and the affirmation of His attributes.
وَبَاطِنًا — and inward. A second state-noun 'inward' in the same accusative role, joined by the leading 'and'. It pairs with the first so the states are covered both outwardly and inwardly.
