Arabic vocabulary
اِشْتَدَّ is how you say “intensify” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
قَالَ فَأَنَا وَاللَّهِ رَأَيْتُ النِّسَاءَ يَشْتَدِدْنَ
He said, "By God, I saw the women growing more agitated."
يَشْتَدِدْنَ — they grow more agitated. A present-form verb with a feminine-plural '-na' ending, naming the women as the doers, used as a description of what the seeing caught. The unfinished shape paints them mid-action, 'growing more agitated', alongside the main verb.
