Arabic vocabulary
How to say “is ruined” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
تَخْرُبُ إِحْدَاهُنَّ الدِّينَ بَعْدَ أَنْ تَخْرَبَ الدَّارَ،
One of the women ruins the religion after the house is ruined.
تَخْرَبَ — is ruined. A present-tense verb pushed into its subjunctive shape — note the plain -a ending — by the 'that' particle before it, and read intransitively, 'is ruined / falls to ruin'. The mood marks it as a bundled idea governed by 'after' rather than a free-standing report. Arabic signals this with the final vowel, not a helper word.
