Arabic vocabulary
How to say “its ties” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَتَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمْ أَسْبَابُهَا أَحْوَجُ مَا كَانُوا إِلَيْهَا،
And its ties were cut off from them at the very time they needed it most.
أَسْبَابُهَا — its ties. A plural noun with -ha ('its') fused on as owner, the subject of 'were cut off'. The 'its' points back to the thing they relied on, so these are 'its ties / its links'. Being feminine plural, it is what pulled the feminine ending onto the verb before it.
