Arabic vocabulary
How to say “kinship” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قُرْبُ ذَوِيِ الرَّجُلِ وَالْقَرَّابَةِ
The closeness of the man's relatives and kinship.
وَالْقَرَّابَةِ — and the kinship. The connector wa- ('and') fused onto a noun that also carries al- ('the'). Here wa- coordinates this noun with the kin mentioned just before, adding 'kinship' alongside 'relatives' as a second item in the same list. The definite article keeps it specific, treating kinship as a known, named concept.
