Arabic vocabulary
قِيادَة is how you say “leadership” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
فَإِنَّ كَمَالَ أَنْفُسِهِ بِتَلَوُّثٍ أَوْ قِيادَةٍ ،
If, however, his self is perfected by corruption or by leadership,
قِيادَةٍ — by leadership. This noun runs in parallel with the earlier 'by corruption', sharing the 'by way of' force of the preposition through the 'or' that links them, so it keeps the same 'of...' (genitive) ending. It stays indefinite, naming a general second avenue of supposed perfection rather than a specific one.
