How to say “leave us” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَلَا يَكِلُنَا إِلَى نَفْسِنَا طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ،
and do not leave us to ourselves even for the blink of an eye,
يَكِلُنَا — he leave us. A present-tense verb whose 'ya-' prefix carries a 'he' subject, closed by '-na' (us) as object, sitting under the negator before it. Together they form the plea 'that He not leave us', with God understood as the one addressed.
