How to say “lose” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فإما أن تتجر فيها بطاعة فتربح، وإما أن تتجر فيها بمعصية فتخسر
So either you trade in it with obedience and profit, or you trade in it with disobedience and lose.
فَتَخْسَرَ — and lose. The fa- attaches this as the resulting loss, and the verb keeps the subjunctive shape running through the whole 'that' construction. The subject 'you' is inside the verb, and the altered ending frames the losing as the consequence, not a bare fact.
