How to say “profit” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فإما أن تتجر فيها بطاعة فتربح، وإما أن تتجر فيها بمعصية فتخسر
So either you trade in it with obedience and profit, or you trade in it with disobedience and lose.
فَتَرْبَحَ — and profit. The fa- links this as the favorable result, and the verb stands in the subjunctive shape carried over from the 'that' clause governing the whole sequence. The 'you' subject lives inside the verb, and the special ending marks it as the hoped-for outcome rather than a plain statement.
