Arabic vocabulary
How to say “Manager” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فسبحان مدبر الفلك ولو لم يدر لم يدر،
Glory be to the Manager of the cosmos, and had He not directed it, it would not rotate,
مُدَبِّرِ — Manager of. This is a doer-noun, 'the one who manages', and it is the first half of a possessive pair joined to what it manages. As the leading noun in that pair it takes the 'of' ending here because it follows the praise word, and it hands its definiteness to the noun after it that names what is managed.
