How to say “marid” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَخْبِرْ بِمَا صَنَعَ المَارِدُ
Then tell us what the marid did.
المَارِدُ — the marid. The al- makes this a definite, specific being. It is the doer inside the relative clause, the one who did the deed, so it takes the naming case for the subject. It follows its verb, the usual order, closing the 'what the marid did' clause.
