Arabic vocabulary
How to say “miss” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَمَا أَصَابَك لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُخْطِئَك،
And what reached you was never going to miss you.
لِيُخْطِئَكَ — to miss you. Again the 'was not' plus 'li-' with a subjunctive, the flat denial: 'was not [destined] to miss you'. The 'li-' triggers the subjunctive '-a', and '-ka' is the object. Together the two sentences seal the doctrine of decree.
