Arabic vocabulary
How to say “my share” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَتْ لَا تَفْعَلْ حَظِّي مِنْهُ لَهَا
She said, "Don't do it; my share from him belongs to her."
حَظِّي — my share. A noun 'share/portion' with a tail pronoun 'my' welded on, packing 'my share' into one word. The attached possessor is built right onto the end rather than standing as a separate word. This noun then leans on the prepositions that follow to spell out what the share is from and whom it goes to.
