Arabic vocabulary
How to say “obedience” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَجِنْسُ الْمَحَبَّةِ يَكُونُ لِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ كَالطَّاعَةِ
So the kind of love is for God and for His Messenger, like obedience.
كَالطَّاعَةِ — like obedience. The ka- prefix means 'like/as', setting up a comparison, and it governs the noun after it into the genitive, 'like obedience'. It frames this love as parallel in kind to obedience, the prefix itself carrying the simile with no separate 'like' word.
