Arabic vocabulary
How to say “pearls” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَفْرِغْ فِي أَصْدَافِ الْأَسْمَاعِ مِنْ أَلْفَاظِهِ دُرَرًا،
And he poured out pearls from his words into the shells of ears.
دُرَرًا — pearls. An indefinite plural noun 'pearls', the object of 'poured out', so it takes the object-style ending with the indefinite two-stroke marking. It is the figurative direct object, his precious words cast as pearls spilled into listeners' ears.
