Arabic vocabulary
How to say “prepare” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ثُمَّ قَالَ أُمَيَّةُ يَا أُمُّ صَفْوَانِ جَهِّزِينِي
Then Umayya said, "O Umm Safwan, prepare me."
جَهِّزِينِي — prepare me. A command form addressed to a *woman* — the -i ending marks the feminine 'you' — with attached -ni 'me' as object. So 'get me ready' carries both a feminine addressee and its object in one word.
