How to say “presence” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَلَا تَحْتَاجُ إِلَى فِكْرٍ، وَحُضُورُ قَلْبٍ،
And they do not need thought, and presence of heart,
وَحُضُورُ — and presence. This token fuses the linking wa- with a noun heading an 'of' pairing: 'and presence of...'. The wa- adds a second thing not required, and the noun leans on the following word for its full sense. As the first member it drops its own 'the'.
