How to say “price” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالثَّمَنِ
The Prophet said, "For the price."
بِالثَّمَنِ — for the price. A preposition 'with / for' heading a noun made specific by al-, 'the price'. It marks the condition the Prophet attaches: he will take the mount only 'for the price', i.e. by paying; the preposition pulls the noun into the genitive and sets up that exchange.
