How to say “reveals” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
وقد وصف لنا شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية هذه المرحلة وصفًا يكشف لنا حقيقتها وخصائصها وميزاتها وما لها وما عليها،
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah described this phase with a description that reveals its nature, characteristics, and advantages and disadvantages,
يَكْشِفُ — it reveals. Present 'uncovers, lays bare', subject 'it' (the description) inside — 'a description that reveals'.
From: Rules of Scholarly Debate →وَتَوَسَّطَ قُفَّهَا، وَكَشَفَ عَنْ سَاقَيْهِ وَدَلَّاهُمَا فِي الْبِئْرِ،
And he placed his cloak in the middle, and uncovered from his two legs, and let them both hang down in the well.
وَكَشَفَ — and uncovered. The wa- ('and') chains another action; this verb 'uncovered' typically teams with the 'from' that follows to mean 'bared'. The conjunction simply adds the step.
From: Three Companions Promised Paradise →كَمَا صَنَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَكَشَفَ عَنْ سَاقَيْهِ،
as the Prophet did, and he uncovered his two legs,
وَكَشَفَ — and uncovered. The wa- ('and') resumes the narrative after the blessing; the verb 'uncovered' has a built-in 'he' and teams with the 'from' that follows. The conjunction adds the step.
