وَإِذَا يَدُهُ الْيُمْنَى مُعَلَّقَةٌ فِي عُنْقِهِ
And when his right hand was hanging from his neck.
الْيُمْنَى — right. A describing word carrying 'al-' (the), trailing the noun it modifies and matching it in gender and definiteness, the Arabic way of fastening an adjective to its noun. It narrows 'his hand' to specifically the right one.
