How to say “Safiyya” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَحِزْبٌ فِيهِ عَائِشَةُ وَحَفْصَةُ وَصَفِيَّةُ وَسَوْدَةُ،
One group in it consisted of Aisha, Hafsa, Safiyya, and Sawda.
وَصَفِيَّةُ — and Safiyya. Again the wa- is the list-'and' tying one more name into the same enumeration; the repetition before each item is how Arabic builds a list. The name shares the subject ending of the others, marking it as a further member of the party.
