وَإِذَا بُلِغَتْكَ أَنَّ أَحْمَقَ اِسْتَفَادَ عُقُولًا فَلا تُصَدِّقْ
And if it is conveyed to you that a fool has gained sense, then do not believe it.
عُقُولًا — sense. A plural noun functioning as the direct object of the gaining, in the accusative that such an object takes. Its plural shape and case mark it as the thing acquired. It rounds out the claim the clause reports.
