Arabic vocabulary
How to say “servants” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَكَذَلِكَ هِيَ هُنَاكَ ﴿وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ﴾
So that is how it is there, and your Lord is not unjust to the servants.
لِلْعَبِيدِ — for the servants. This is the preposition li- ('to/for') fused with the definite 'the servants', and that li- marks them as the ones toward whom the injustice would be directed. It governs the genitive ending and pins down exactly who the Lord is being said never to wrong.
