  فَجَاءَتْنِي — so she came to me. This stacks the connector fa- onto a past-tense verb plus -ni ('to me'): 'so she came to me'. The fa- moves the story to her approach, and the special -ni form is the object-shape Arabic uses for 'me' after a verb.
