Arabic vocabulary
How to say “show me” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ إِبْلِيسُ ﴿رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ﴾
Iblis said, "My Lord, then show me the Day when they will be resurrected."
فَأَنظِرْنِي — then show me. A command-form verb 'grant me a delay/respite' with 'me' attached as its object, opened by a 'then/so' prefix that links it to the address. The command mood is what marks this as a request being made to the Lord.
