Arabic vocabulary
نظائر is how you say “similar” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
﴿قُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ﴾، وَنَظَائِرُهُ
'Say to the believers to lower their gaze', and similar passages.
وَنَظَائِرُهُ — and similar passages. An 'and' joins to a noun meaning 'likes/equivalents', which then carries an 'it' ending referring back to the cited verses. Together the one word means 'and its like', signalling that further similar passages exist; the possessor is fused on rather than written separately.
