Arabic vocabulary
How to say “spot” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَدْ وَافَيْتُ هَذَا الْمَوْضِعَ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً
I have come to this spot seventy times.
الْمَوْضِعَ — the spot. The destination noun is the direct object of 'came to', so it wears the object case marked by a final -a. The case ending, not its position, identifies it as what the verb acts upon.
