Arabic vocabulary
How to say “time” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَدْ وَافَيْتُ هَذَا الْمَوْضِعَ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً
I have come to this spot seventy times.
مَرَّةً — times. The counted noun after 'seventy' appears as a single object-case noun, not a plural, because Arabic's larger numbers take their item in exactly this shape. So 'times' is grammatically singular even though seventy of them are meant.
