Arabic vocabulary
How to say “stomach” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ولا تدخل الحكمة معدة ملئت طعاما،
Wisdom does not enter a stomach that is full of food.
مَعِدَةً — stomach. This is the destination of the entering, treated as the object, and its indefinite ending marks it as 'a stomach', not one particular one. It is left general so the saying applies to any over-full stomach.
