فَإِنْ فَتَرَ سَائِقُهَا ضَلَّتْ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ
If its driver weakens, it strays from the path.
ضَلَّتْ — it strays. Past-tense verb 'dallat' = 'it went astray'; the '-at' ending marks a feminine 'it' (the soul).
