قَامَ إِلَى أَصْغَرِ بُنَيِّهِ فَلَطَمَنِي
He went up to the youngest of his sons and struck me.
فَلَطَمَنِي — and struck me. Consecutive fa- ('and so') on a past-tense verb, with an attached -ni giving 'me' as the object. The fa- sequences the striking right after the rising; the -ni names the speaker as the one struck.
