How to say “youngest” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَامَ إِلَى أَصْغَرِ بُنَيِّهِ فَلَطَمَنِي
He went up to the youngest of his sons and struck me.
أَصْغَرِ — the youngest. A comparative-shaped adjective ('youngest') in the genitive because the preposition before governs it; it heads an 'of' pairing with the next noun. As the head it draws its definiteness from the owner that completes the phrase.
