How to say “terrors” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَيَذْكُرُ بِأَهْوَالِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ؛
and he mentions the terrors of the Day of Resurrection;
بِأَهْوَالِ — with the terrors. The preposition bi- fused to a plural noun; here bi- attaches to the verb 'mention' to mark what is being spoken of, and it forces the genitive on the noun. This noun also opens a possessive chain owning the noun that follows it.
